Obituary of Theresa Sterling

A resident of London and formerly of Chatham, Theresa Sterling died at her residence on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at the age of 56. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Garnet J. and Mary T. (Catton) Sterling. Loving mother of Jackie LaMarsh and her former spouse Louis Bailey of London, Joseph LaMarsh of Shelbourne, Tena Pieterson of London and Benjamin Pieterson also of London. Grandmother of Simon and Philip Bailey. Sister of Peg and Al Johns of Chatham, Shirley and Joseph Ongena of Thamesville, Francis and Karen Sterling of Blenheim, Rita VanDeven of Chatham and predeceased by Barbara Sterling (2005). Survived by her former husband George Murmann of Sarnia and many nieces and nephews. Theresa will be missed by her canine companion Begbie. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday from 2:00-4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2006 from Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Fr. Matthias Wronski, Celebrant. Parish prayers will be offered at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening. Cremation to follow with a family interment in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Chatham at a later date. Donations, made by cheque, to Heart and Stroke appreciated.
