Obituary of A. James Sheldon

SHELDON: A resident of R.R.#2 Highgate, A. James (Jim) Sheldon passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at the age of 73. Born in England, son of the late Bridden and Sarah (Slater) Sheldon. Beloved husband of Georgina (Dane) Sheldon for over 50 years. Dear father of Dane Sheldon of Highgate, and Kathryn and Paul Garlick of Terraceia, Florida. Grandfather of Joel and Megan Sheldon. Brother of Kathleen Rutherford of London and sisters Mary of Australia and Janet of England. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Jim farmed in Orford Township for many years. He was a lover of nature and donated a tract of his land to the Nature Conservancy of Canada to ensure its continued protection for future generations. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Friday, April 28, 2006 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
