Obituary of Nora Isabel Miller

MILLER A resident of Chatham , Nora I. Miller died on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 91. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late George H. and Jennie A. (McKerrall) Miller. Sister of Ethel Miller of Chatham, Douglas Miller of Arizona and the late Reginald Miller (1980) and Roy Miller (1998). Sister-in-law of the late Margaret Gordon and Jean Miller (2005). Aunt of Craig Miller (Gloria), Chatham; Mary Jo Baietti (Norm), Walnut Creek, CA,; Bob Miller, Las Vegas, NV.; Elaine Youngson (Art), Windsor; Patricia Miller (Duff Walker), Val Caron, ON., and Marilyn Hanna (Ken) Richmond, B.C. Also survived by several great nieces and nephews. Nora retired as an elementary school teacher with the Kent County Board of Education after teaching for 2 1/2 years at S.S. #25 in Chatham Township and 35 years at McKeough Public School in Chatham. She was a member of the Superannuated Women's Teachers Association and the Retired Teachers of Ontario. Nora was also a member of Chalmers United Church and the U.C.W. She was an avid bridge player. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street Chatham on Thursday April 27, 2006 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Friday April 28, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Sandra Fogarty officiating. Interment McVicar Cemetery, Chatham Township. Donations, made by cheque, to St. Andrew's Residence Residents' Council Fund appreciated.
