Obituary of Grace Day

DAY A resident of Chatham, Grace O. Day died on Sunday, June 11, 2006 at Copper Terrace Nursing Home at the age of 86. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Thomas and Bernice (Goodall) Ellis. Beloved wife of the late Lenard (Len) Charles Day (1999). Loving Mother of Dennis and Barb Day of Chatham, Lyle and Gloria Day of London, Darrell and Janet Day of Chatham and the late William (Bill) Hurrell (1960). Grandmother of Doug, Mike, Bill, Chris, Brandie, Kristin, Sarah, Dan and Jeannie. Great grandmother of several great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Grace was the last surviving member of her family. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Grace worked for many years alongside her husband at Community Cleaners. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2006 from the Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Millward of Christ Church Anglican officiating. Cremation with interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations, made by cheque, to Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent or Copper Terrace Nursing Home appreciated.
