Obituary of Dorothy M. Bates

Bates: Dorthy M. A resident of Ridgetown, passed away at the Village Rest home, Ridgetown on Thursday September 7, 2006 at the age of 90 years Born in London, daughter of the late Austin D. and Emma (Clelford) Kelley. Beloved wife of the late Harold D. Bates (1991) Dear mother of Robert and his wife Margaret Bates of St. Thomas. Also surviving are nephews William Rivers and his wife Janet of Maryland, and John Bates and his wife Patricia of Florida and 2 Great nieces Jill and Kelly. Predeceased by her sister Helen Rivers in 1990. Dorothy and her husband owned and operated Ideal Metal Stampings. She was active in the community and was a member of Church of the Advent (Anglican), the A.C.W. and a former member and past Regent of the Confederation Chapter of the IODE The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main street East, Ridgetown on Sunday 2:00-4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
