BARKS: A resident of Chatham, Gladys Emily Barks passed away at Fairfield Park, Wallaceburg on Friday, September 15, 2006 at the age of 86. Born in Chatham Township, daughter of the late George and Rose (Macey) Goddard. Beloved wife of the late Cecil Barks (1972). Dear mother of Carol Lusk of Chatham and her late husband Ken (1999). Grandmother of Mark Lusk and Gene Lusk and great-grandmother of Ani Lusk. Sister of Ruby and Harry Kalp of Chatham, Ellen and Louis Jacques of Chatham, Francie Jenkins and Jim Bridgen of Chatham, Harry and Eileen Goddard of Saskatchewan, and the late Betty Kelley, Jack Goddard, and George Goddard. Sister-in-law of Ivan Kelley of Chatham, Helen Goddard of Chatham, Myrl Barks of Chatham, Alma Barks of Belleville, and the late Ernie Jenkins, Lewis Barks, Leslie Barks, Twila and Donald Helsden, and Albert Barks. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street on Sunday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, September 18, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
