Obituary of Robert Miller

MILLER: It is with great sadness, the family of Robert Michael Miller, of Charing Cross, announce his passing on Thursday, September 21, 2006, at the age of 68. He was home with family by his side. With dignity and determination he fought a long battle with cancer. Robert and his wife, Diane (Jeffrey), of over 49 years shared a life full of love, joy and wonderful experiences along with a fulfilling family life. Their 50th Anniversary would have been October 19, 2006. Loved and cherished by his daughters Cheryl Forget and husband Robert, of Charing Cross, Debi Brown and husband Rusty, of California, Cathy Sebben and husband Joseph, of Chatham, and daughter in-law Julie Miller, of Chatham. Robert will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Corey, Amanda, Derek, Michael, Jeffrey, and step-grandchildren Jason, Jamie Eddie, Tara, and Eric. Son of the late Carmen & Winnifred Miller. Predeceased by his beloved son, Christopher (1995). Dear brother of Carmen ‘Jack’ Miller and wife Carol, of Chatham, Carol Horvath and husband Al, of Chatham, and Janet Murdock, of California. Admired uncle of many nieces and nephews. Robert was a well respected truck driver, having worked for Motor Wheel in Chatham for 25 years and independent owner and operator of his own trucking. Bob spent the last 10 years operating his own organic farm in Charing Cross. Special thanks to his nurse of 5 ½ years, Kim Harron of Bayshore Home Health, who has been a faithful friends and great help with Robert. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., on Friday, September 22, 2006, from 2:00-4:30 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 23, 2006 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, from the Funeral Home, with Fr. Jim Williams celebrant. As expressions of sympathy, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Robert, are asked to consider the Multiple Myeloma Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
