Obituary of Edna McGaffey

McGAFFEY: A resident of Chatham, Edna May McGaffey died peacefully at Riverview Gardens, Chatham on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the age of 89. Born in Toronto, daughter of the late William and Birdie May (Gamble) Everitt. Beloved wife of the late Harry McGaffey (1998). Loving mother of William McGaffey and wife Joy of Dresden, Sally McGlashan of Chatham, Pat Franklin and husband Arthur of Bracebridge, Jim McGaffey and wife Barbara Ann of Nanton, Alberta, Dan McGaffey and wife Mary Jane of Chatham, Joe-Anne Atkinson and husband Brian of Chatham, and Karin Nielsen and husband Rolf of Alberta. Grandmother of 20 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Betty Apthorp of Lambeth, and Bob Everitt and wife Barb of Dresden. Predeceased by her brother William Everitt and his wife Mary, and brother-in-law Edgar Apthorp. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Monday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. with The Rev.
