Obituary of Edward Wegrzyn

WEGRZYN: Edward John Sr. - A resident of R.R.#2 Ridgetown, Edward J. Wegrzyn Sr. passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at the age of 67. Born in Chatham, son of the late John and Anna (Wojcik) Wegrzyn. Beloved husband of Charlene (Watorek) Wegrzyn for 43 years. Dear father of Edward Wegrzyn Jr. and his wife Lori of Ridgetown, Mary Ann Hawthorne and her husband Mike of Ridgetown, and Chris Wegrzyn and his wife Kelly of Ridgetown. Grandfather of Hayley and Kristy Hawthorne, Brandon, Krisinda, and Brett Wegrzyn, Samantha and Daniel Doughty. Brother of Velma Valenciuk of Essex and the late Ted Wegrzyn (1925). Brother-in-law of Kazimiera and Ted Skimina of Poland. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ed retired from Navistar in 2002. He was involved with Ridgetown Minor Hockey for a number of years and enjoyed the occasional round of golf. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Friday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish prayers at the Funeral Home on Friday at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Ridgetown on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
