Obituary of William M. Taylor

TAYLOR, William (Bill) M. A resident of Chatham, Bill Taylor died at his residence on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at the age of 81. Born in Chatham, son of the late William Shipman and Edna Fidella (Haskell) Taylor. Beloved husband of Jackie (McCart) Taylor. Loving father of the late Donald Taylor (2003) and father-in-law of Brenda Taylor of Chatham. Proud grandfather of Bill Taylor and Don and Anne Taylor, all of Chatham. Great-grandfather of Olivia and Natalie Taylor. Brother of Donna Brown of Chatham and predeceased by Don Haskell and Genevieve (DeeDee) Russell. Uncle of Julie Timms and Richard Russell. Bill was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 628 and an avid golfer for over 50 years at the Ridgetown Golf and Curling Club. He retired from Chrysler Corporation after 37 years of service. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2006 from the Funeral Home with Pastor Gordon Reynolds offciating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations, made by cheque, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society appreciated.
