Obituary of Hazel Jones

Jones: Hazel Velma A resident of Blenheim and formerly of Ridgetown and Highgate, passed away at the Blenheim Community Village Nursing Home on Friday October 27, 2006 at the age of 99 years. Born in Orford Twsp., daughter of the late Almon and Ellen Christina (McLeod) Roberts. Beloved wife of the late W. Roy Jones (1977). Dear mother of Helen and Don Goens of Ridgetown, Marlene and Gary Jewell of R. R. # 3 Ridgetown, Beverly McVicar and Kevin Rumble of Blenheim and the late John "Jack" Roberts (1998) and Rodger Jones (2005). Also surviving is a daughter-in-law Jean Jones of Highgate, 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Predeceased by 2 sisters Mattie Heil and Mary Roberts. Hazel was a member of Highgate United Church and was active in the church choir, U.C.W. and Tru-Ki-Lo for many years She was also a member of the Highgate Seniors Club. The Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Monday 2:00-4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Tuesday October 31, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Al McIntyre officiating.
