SCHENK: Harry. A resident of Chatham, Harry Schenk passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 23, 2006 at the age of 77. Born in Andyk, The Netherlands, son of the late Pieter and Elizabeth (Heemsbergen) Schenk. Beloved husband of Tena (Smids) Schenk for 53 years. Dear father of Lenny Hystek and her husband Herb of Chatham, Pete Schenk of Rondeau Park, Liz Prosser and her husband Kevin of Chatham, and Mike Schenk and his wife April of Chatham. Grandfather of Brent, Eric and Nathan Hystek, Amanda Schenk, Dean Prosser, Griffin Schenk, and Riley and Reese. Brother of Dorothy and Stan Antonides of Brampton, John and Ruth Schenk of Burlington, Alice and Andy Vanderveen of London, Kees and Lena Schenk of Chatham, and the late Bill Schenk and Grace DeJonge and her husband Harry DeJonge. Brother-in-law of Willie and Albert Martens of Thornhill, Sally Vandersluis of Chatham, Gerty Smids of Chatham and her late husband John, Fred and Millie Smids of Winnipeg, and Jane and Nick Buma of Ilderton. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Grace Christian Reformed Church, 255 Tweedsmuir Ave. West, Chatham on Monday, November 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
