Obituary of Florence C. Devereux

DEVEREUX, Florence C. A resident of Ridgetown and formerly of Orford Township, Florence C. Devereux died at The Village Nursing Home, Ridgetown on Monday, November 27, 2006 at the age of 93. Born in Highgate, daughter of the late Frederick Samuel and Jane Catherine (Cornell) Scott. Beloved wife of the late Lance Devereux (1974). Loving step-mother of Bill (Donna) Harrison of Guelph, Ruth Cooper of Ridgetown and predeceased by Paul Harrison, Walter Devereux, Glenn Devereux , Ralph Devereux and Harold Devereux.She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Rose Marie Devereux of Ridgetown and former daughters-in-law Carol Ann (Harrison) Balmer of Thamesville and Heather Harrison of Collingwood. Very special grandmother to Margaret Ann (Tom) Jones, Dan (Kaillee) Harrison, Sarah (Justin) Harrison-Cragg and Paul Harrison. Great grandmother of several great-grandchildren. Sister of the late John Scott, Stella Gould, Rose Harkness, Grace Travis, Fred Scott and Verna Scott. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street, East, Ridgetown on Thursday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2006 from the Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Brown officiating. Interment Gosnell Cemetery. Donations, made by cheque, to The Village, Palliative Care or the Arthritis Society appreciated.
