JAMES, Roy: A resident of Chatham, Roy James passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at the age of 86. The youngest son of the late Arthur and Amy (Buckell) James, beloved husband of Emily Margaret “Marjorie” (Atkinson) James for 64 years. Loving father of Debbie Labute of Chatham and Robert James and his wife Manya Sadouski of B.C. Grandfather of Jodi-Lynn and Dean Brown, Joshua Labute and his friend Jennifer Ritcey, and Hannah, Nicholas, Molly and Aidan James. Great-grandfather of Spencer and Maisie. Brother of George and Doris James of Ingleside, Reginald James and Kathleen Sands, both of Chatham and the late Fred James, Howard James and Marjery Black Brother-in-law of Shirley and Rev. Marvin Cooper of B.C., Gordon Atikinson of Chatham and Allan and Betty Atkinson of Cornwall. Roy was a veteran of W.W. II and a Sargeant of the Kent Regiment. He was also a former employee of the Chatham Post Office, retiring in 1985. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2006 from the Funeral Home. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations, made by cheque, to the Salvation Army or Holy Trinity Anglican Church appreciated.
