Obituary of Virginia Apthorp

APTHORP: Virginia, a resident of Chatham, and formerly of Charing Cross, passed away peacefully at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at age 89. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Burton and Edith (Taylor) Bancroft. Beloved wife of Harry F. Apthorp of Chatham. Loving mother of Daniel and his wife Nettie Louise of Blenheim, Kenneth and his wife Victoria of Chatham, Patricia Apthorp of Chatham and Wendy Apthorp of Chatham. Grandmother of 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters Melva Liscumb and Clara McDermand and 1 great grandchild. Friends and family will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham, on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 2:00 - 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Evangel Community Church , 76 Sandys St., Chatham, on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. Rev.
