Obituary of Donald William Lowes

Lowes: Donald (Davey) William of Chatham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance at the age of 76. Born in Chatham, son of the late Langford and Leta (Stennett) Lowes. Beloved husband of Ann (McLaren) Lowes of Chatham. Loving father of Brian (Corinne) Lowes of Tilbury, Julie Lowes of Chatham, Matthew Lowes of Chatham, Nicole VandenEnden (Duane) of Stoney Point and Mark Lowes. Grandfather of Danielle and Evan Lowes and Keifer and Talia VandenEnden. Dear Brother of Gordon (Verna) Lowes of Chatham and Ken (Shirley) Lowes of Kingsville. Brother in law of Malcolm (Helen) McLaren of Chatham, Jerry(Cathrin) McLaren of Hamilton, Ted (Marie) McLaren of Gananoque and Denis Audet of Guelph. Son in law of Gaetan and Georgette Audet of Chatham. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Bill Lowes (1977) D.W. was the founder and owner of Davey Lowes Pontiac and worked for many years in Chatham Real Estate. He was a life member of the Moose Lodge # 1692 in Chatham and an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 628 for 15 years. The family will receive family and friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham, on Monday evening, January 29th from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 30th, from 2:00 - 4:30 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. and a Moose Lodge Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, 52 Croyden St., Chatham on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Francis Thekkumkattil celebrant. Interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
