Obituary of C. Max Simpson

SIMPSON: C. Max. A resident of Ridgetown, C. Max Simpson passed away at the Village, Ridgetown on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the age of 87. Born in Howard Township, son of the late Willard and Janet (McLarty) Simpson. Beloved husband of Marjorie (Greene) Simpson for 59 years. Dear father of John Simpson and his wife Sonia of R.R.#1 Ridgetown, Bob Simpson and his wife Maryanne of Blenheim, Nancy Sensabaugh of R.R.#1 Ridgetown and her late husband Ed (2005), and Gordon Simpson and Nancy Redekop of Chatham. Grandfather of Chris and Heather Simpson, Jamie Simpson and friend Cindy Goldhawk, Michelle and Joel Frost, Tara and Justin Faubert, Matt and Heather Simpson, Katie Sensabaugh, Ben Simpson, and Diana Simpson. Great-grandfather of Celestia, Joshua, Amelia, Brittany, Meredith, Callum, Bryson, Oliver, Jack. Brother of Fern Simpson of Ailsa Craig, Ray and Ruth Simpson of Blenheim, Donald and Donna Simpson of Ridgetown, Russel and Ruth Simpson of Glencoe, Ruth Campbell of Blenheim, Fred and Berniece Simpson of Wallacetown, and the late Kelso Simpson, Eileen Hayes, Doug Simpson, Beth Eskritt, and Ivan Simpson. Brother-in-law of Bob Eskritt of Ridgetown, Helen Field of Ridgetown, Gordon and Mabel Greene of Michigan, and Marcella Greene of Michigan. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Max was a veteran of WWII and served in the Army in Canada with the Canadian Fusiliers. He farmed all of his life in Howard Township. Max was a member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where he had served on several committees and was an Elder Emeritus. Family will recieve friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Monday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
