Obituary of Elizabeth Deanes

Deanes: Elizabeth Rayner (Betty) nee Leslie A resident of Chatham anfd formerly of Burlington, passed away on February 3, 2007 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 85 years. She was born on January 16, 1922 in Aberdeen Scotland, the only daughter of the late James Ogilvie Leslie and Eleanor Lake nee Lamb. She is predeceased by her husband Donald Deanes in 1994. Mother of Ian Deanes of Hamilton, Beth Van Hal nee Deanes of Chatham and Brian Deanes of Hamilton. She is survived by her brother Ian Leslie and his wife Margaret in Aberdeen Scotland. Also surviving are Grandchildren Jennifer Deanes, Michelle Deanes, Jason Deanes, Scott Van Hal, Shannon Scott, Todd Van Hal, Stephanie Smith, Danielle Deanes and Aaron Deanes. Great Grandmother to Devyn Van Hal-Scott, Joseph Scott, Sara Smith, Jessica Van Hal, Jordan Van Hal and Moon Jane Kenzie Deanes. Friends and relatives are invited to an open house to celebrate the life of Betty at the home of Shannon Scott, 78 Park Lane, Chatham after 2:00 p.m.on Saturday February 10, 2007.
