Obituary of John W. McKillop

McKillop, John W. (Jack) A resident of Ridgetown passed away at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Thursday February 8, 2007 at the age of 77 years. Born in Dunwich Township, son of the late William S. and Grace (Farr) McKillop. Beloved husband of Betty Mae (Edwards) McKillop. Dear father of Darrin McKillop of South River, and Deborah and Rob Veccia of Ridgetown. Grandfather of Zander. Brother of Alice and Floyd Campbell of Petrolia and Betty and Bill Campbell of St. Thomas. Brother in law of Joan and Bob Earl of Huntsville, Karla Tabor of Huntsville and Gerald Edwards of Blind River. Jack was a retired foreman of CSX Railroad. He was a member of O. E. S. #58 Mecca Chapter and The Howard Masonic Lodge. Member of Erie Street United Church , Ridgetown and a former member of Ridgetown Kiwanis Club. He served Ridgetown as a Councillor and Deputy Reeve and was a former County Councillor The McKillop family will receive family and friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street, Ridgetown on Saturday February 10, 2007 from 3:00 -4:30 and 7;00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday February 11, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. The O.E. S. will conduct a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. and the Masonic Lodge will conduct a Service at 7:30 p.m.on Saturday Feb.10, 2007.
