GALBRAITH: Margaret Balmer Secord, a resident of Ridgetown and formerly of Thamesville died peacefully at the Village Long Term Care, Ridgetown on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the age of 95. Born in Thamesville, daughter of the late Ernest and Beatrice (Weekes) Balmer. Beloved wife of the late Percy Secord (1943) and Earle Galbraith (1989). Loving mother of Dorothy Whalls and husband George, Gerald Secord and wife Heather and Joyce Seliga and husband Paul. Grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Devoted step mother of Cleada Galbraith, Mary Lou Graham and husband Murray, Ruthann Slasor, Bill Galbraith and Florence Bolton. Step grandmother of 12 and several great step grandchildren. Survived by her sister in law Violet Balmer, her brother in law Neil Hubbell . Predeceased by her grandson Dale and grand daughter Shelley, step sons Robert Galbraith and Clare Galbraith, her sisters Mary Hubbell and Belle Campbell, her brother John Balmer and brother in law John Campbell. The family will receive family and friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main St. E., Ridgetown on Thursday, February 15, 2007 from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, February 16, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Judith Fayter officiating. Interment at the Sherman Cemetery, Thamesville. Donations, made by cheque, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Erie Street United Church would be appreciated.
