Obituary of Celia Wachsmuth

WACHSMUTH: Celia Wachsmuth passed away peacefully on February 19, 2007. She was a woman of great faith and conviction. She was born on the homestead at Tiffin Corner near Croton, and later moved to Thamesville and Chatham. After a lifetime of service and devotion, she leaves behind a rich deposit of treasured memories and special moments. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" 2 Timothy 4:7 Beloved wife of 56 years to Rolfe Wachsmuth, and much-loved mother to Bill (Nancy Scott) and Ruth (Bruce Parent). Devoted grandma to Averil, Seth and Rachel. Celia was predeceased by her parents, William Tiffin and Ellen Boyle, and by her dear sister Mary. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Memorial Service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Friday February 23 at 11:00. Interment at a later date. Those wishing to make donations are encouraged to support the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of their choice.
