Obituary of Ross Leatherdale

LEATHERDALE: Calvin Ross. A lifelong resident of Howard Twp., Calvin Ross Leatherdale died peacefully on Sat. March 3, 2007 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 83. Son of the late Roy and Minnie (Lawton) Leatherdale. Loving husband of Hazel (McGuire) Leatherdale. Devoted father of Catherine Leatherdale and Ced Radoja, Mary Beth Leatherdale and Jeff Krymalowski. Beloved grandfather of Dale and Calvin Radoja and Ben and Sarah Krymalowski. Cherished uncle of Ben Leatherdale and many others. Ross was a dedicated farmer and horse racing enthusiast. Survived by in-laws Bill and Laura McGuire, Helen and Evan McGuire, Doris Shaw, Vivian Thomas, George and Joan McGuire, Don and Lorraine McGuire, Bruce and Jean McGuire, Larry and Willie McGuire, Elaine and John Ito. Predeceased by sister Jean, brother Lloyd and in-laws Marjorie Leatherdale, Bob Shaw, Tommy Thomas, Leone McGuire, and Thelma McGuire. Visitation to be held at McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Monday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. James Brown officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation , St. John’s Botany Church or charity of choice would be appreciated.
