Obituary of David Patterson

PATTERSON: David (Dave) William Edward, P.Eng. A resident of Chatham and formerly of Brantford, Dave Patterson died at Copper Terrace, Chatham on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the age of 82. Born in Hamilton, son of the late William and Grace (Laing) Patterson. Beloved husband of Joyce C. (Ney) Patterson for 58 years. Loving father of William (Bill) Patterson and his wife Grace (Kielstra) of Chatham. Proud grandfather of Mark and Mary Patterson, both of Chatham. Dave retired from the Engineering Department of Union Gas in 1985. He was a longtime, active member of Sprucedale United Church, the Chatham Granite Club and the Chatham Branch of the Cancer Society. Dave enjoyed many years spending time at the family cottage near Port Albert. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Sprucedale United Church, 493 Victoria Avenue, Chatham on Monday, March 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Pat Milliken officiating. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations made by cheque to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
