Obituary of Evelyn Marie Gawne

GAWNE: Evelyn Marie, a resident of Chatham and formerly of Ridgetown, past away peacefully at Riverview Gardens on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the age of 94. Born in Quebec, daughter of the late Joseph and Natalie (Trottier) Laliberte. Beloved wife of the late Donald A. Gawne (1985). Loving mother of Donald F. Gawne of Las Vegas, Joyce Gawne of Vancouver, Douglas Gawne and his wife Valerie of Richmond B.C., Betty Brown and her husband Arthur of Ridgetown and Gordon Gawne of Vancouver. Mother in law of David Clark of Chatham. Cherished grandmother of 14, several great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Lucy Bryant of Windsor and Alex Laliberte of Cobourg. Predeceased by her daughter Evelyn (Pat) Clark (2003), her infant son Peter (1947) and her brothers Leo, Francis, Louis and Sylvio. The family will receive family and friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main St. E., Ridgetown, on Friday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Service from the Funeral Home on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Paul Duplissie celebrant. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown. Donations by cheque to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
