White: Marguerite Anne A resident of Chatham, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Monday March 12, 2007 at the age of 94 years Born in Montreal, daughter of the late James Stanley and Christina Walker (Phillips) Swain. Beloved wife of the late James Humphrey White (1977). Dear mother of James and Winnifred White of Daytona Beach and Wendy White of Waterloo. Grandmother of Amy, Sarah and Matthew Buckley and Christopher and Nicholas White. Great Grandmother of Zachery, Tyson and Samantha White. Also surviving is a sister-in-law Vivian Macphee of Nova Scotia and her children Rick and Sandra. Four cousins Bud (Alfred Swain, Dory Swain, Elsie Drewery and Margie Ramsden. Marguerite was predeceased by her son-in-law Gary Buckley (1996) and a brother George Stephen Swain. She was a member of the Chatham Baptist Church, the Mission Circle of the Church and the Retired Teachers of Ontario. Marguerite taught elementary school for many years and became a primary school consultant. Previous to the sale of the family business, Swain's Flowers and Gifts in Ridgetown, she had been an active partner in it's operations. The White family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday March 14, 2007 from 2:00-4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. James Tiffin of Chatham Baptist Church officiating. Interment of cremated remains in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown at a later date. Donations made by cheque to The Lena Dick Mission Circle of Chatham Baptist Church appreciated.
