Buckler: Aldon Campbell A former resident of Highgate, died at the Huronlea Home For The Aged in Brussels, Ontario on Thursday March 22, 2007 at the age of 77. Born in Howard Township son of the late A. Stanley and Rilla J. (Campbell) Buckler. Predeceased by Shirlie Atkins his loving companion of 35 years. Dear father of Sharon and Leo D'Atri of Hamilton, Pamela and Ken Carter of Bluevale, Ontario, Eric and Melinda Buckler of Australia and the late Wendy Drywood (2000). Also surviving are 13 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren. Brother of Aileen and George Colby of Chatham and the late Jean McLarty (2005), Albert (Jack) Buckler (1989), Ken Buckler (1996) and Doris Buckler (2003). He was predeceased by 3 infant children and an infant Great. Granddaughter Jessica. Aldon was a mechanic by trade and served for many years as a volunteer firefighter with the Highgate Fire Department. He had been a member of the Highgate Legion. The Buckler Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East,, Ridgetown on Saturday March 24, 2007, from noon until 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service following at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mary Elford of Highgate United Church officiating. Interment of cremated remains in Duart Cemetery at a later date.
