Obituary of Louise Van Dyke

VAN DYKE, Louise: A resident of Chatham, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 87. Born in Lollum, The Netherlands, daughter of the late Renze and Hotske (Nijdam) Vander Sluis. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Van Dyke (2002). Loving mother of Peter and Lena Van Dyke and Bill and Jean Hoekstra, all of Chatham and Helen Van Dyke and Bill Bentley of Cedar Springs. Grandmother of Wendi and Drew Tinline, Jayme and Rick LaRue, Greg and Stephanie Van Dyke, Herb and Tammy Van Dyke, and Bradley, Dayna and Emily Hoekstra. Great-grandmother of Blake, Jack, Taylor, Brady, Ryan and Andrew. Sister of Gertie and Art Wagenaar of Stoney Creek, Wietske and Jan Hamburg of Holland, Irene and Gus Wolting of Chatham, Sadie and George Postma of Chatham, Mike and Toos Vandersluis of Blenheim, Ike Vandersluis of Kitchener, Flip and Marie Vandersluis of Blenheim and predeceased by Case, Henry, Klaas, Otto, Frederick and Michael Vandersluis. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Louise was a member of First Christian Reformed Church. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 from First Christian Reformed Church, 25 Tweedsmuir Avenue, East, Chatham with Pastor Peter Hogeterp officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations, made by cheque, to Meals on Wheels or Charity of Choice appreciated.
