Obituary of Evangelia Pappas

PAPPAS, Evangelia A resident of Chatham, Evangelia Pappas died at Meadow Park Nursing Home on Friday, April 6, 2007 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Peter G. Pappas (1999). Loving mother and grandmother of Vivian Kiriakopoulos and her children Mary, Peter and Kevin; the late Billie Anne Fife (1990) and her children Christopher and Michael; Patricia Duphette and her children Litsa, Nichol and Kurtis; Georgina and her husband Eric Paraskevopoulos and their children Tom, Carrie and Steven; and George Pappas and his wife Shirley and their children Perry, Lea and Tony. Also surviving are 18 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by a son-in-law Tony Kiriakopoulos (1986) and her brothers and sisters. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 12:00-2:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, Grand Avenue East, Chatham on Monday, April 9, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations, made by cheque,to St. Nektarios Greek-Orthodox Church or Alzheimer Society appreciated.
