Obituary of Ann Postma

POSTMA, Anne (Antje): A former resident of Chatham, Ann (Antje) Postma (Zylstra) passed away peacefully into God’s glory on Monday, April 9, 2007 at Holland Christian Homes in Brampton, Ontario at the age of 77 years. Ann was born May 20, 1929 in the Netherlands to the late Peter and Tryntje Zylstra (Hekstra) and was a loving step-daughter to Gezina Zylstra “Ma” of Michigan. Ann married John Postma on December 6, 1949 in the Netherlands. John passed away July 22, 2004. They made their home in Falmouth, Michigan before settling in Chatham, Ontario. This union was blessed with 5 children. Ted and Marg Postma: Derek and Amy (Ally and Jordyn) Anne and Don Taylor (Olivia and Natalie) Cortney and Andrew Maynard, all of Chatham. Pete and Helen Postma: Stacie and Dan Hagen, Kevin and Janette Postma, Amanda and Adam Jefferies, Katie Postma and friend Enrique, all of Burlington. Gary and Gayla Postma: Michael Postma, Dan Postma and fiancée, Mira, and Steven Postma, all of Morrisburg area. William and Rebecca Postma: Aaron and Hannah of Georgetown. Anita and Todd Kleinwolterink: Joel and Janae, of Sioux Center, Iowa. Ann was predeceased in death by brothers Bernie and Bill and a sister, Louise. Ann is survived by brothers Dick, Gerrit, Roger, Uko and a sister, Grace. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 11 from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A funeral service will be held at Grace Christian Reformed Church on Tweedsmuir Ave. W. in Chatham on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. William Koopmans officiating. Burial will take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Chatham following the service.
