Obituary of E. Idell Lilley

LILLEY, E. Idell A resident of Chatham, E. Idell Lilley died at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home on Monday, April 16, 2007 at the age of 90. Born in Princeton, daughter of the late Oliver and Ada (Carpmail) Thompson. Beloved wife of the late John Lilley (1977). Loving mother of Alice VanBonn of Hanover, Barbara Mitchell of Amherstburg, Marilyn and Beaver McDonald of Chatham and Linda Thomson, also of Chatham. Grandmother of Shawn, Scott, Justin and Ryan Thomson, Jenny Iwasaki, Stephanie Clarke, Dana Mitchell-Scheffield, Christopher and Kirk Mitchell and the late Darcy McDonald (1994). Great-grandmother of 7. Sister of the late Marjorie Baxter and Kenneth, Douglas and Ed Thompson. Sister-in-law of Geraldine Whitson of Chatham. Also missed by Sonny VanBonn, Stan Mitchell, Terry Thomson and several nieces and nephews. Idell was a member of Christ Church Anglican, A.C.W., St. Hilda's Group and the The Westminster Club. She worked at Jenny's Crafts in Chatham for a number of years. Family will receive friends at Christ Anglican Church, 80 Wellington Street West, Chatham on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Funeral Service will follow immediately at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2007 from Christ Anglican Church with The Rev. Paul Millward officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations made by cheque to the Diabetes Association, the Cancer Society or Charity of Choice appreciated and may be arranged through the Funeral Home.
