Obituary of Doris Olsen

OLSEN: Doris. A resident of Chatham and formerly of Etobicoke, Doris Olsen passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, Chatham at the age of 84. Born in Nipissing, daughter of the late Harvey and Myrtle Barton. Beloved wife of the late Art Olsen (April 15, 2002). Will be sadly missed by her daughter Doreen (Al) Bakker, and her grandchildren, Shannon (Mark) Sprung, Katelyn Bakker, Sherri (George) Huggins and Kim (Mike) MacLeod. She will also be remembered by her four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Eva and Hilda. Doris was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #28, Ladies Auxiliary where she avidly enjoyed playing cards. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, May 11, 2007 from noon until 1:30p.m. Funeral Service at 1:30p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment in Nipissing Cemetery, Nipissing. Special thanks to staff at St. Andrew's Residence and nurses at CKHA. Donations by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
