Obituary of Stefan Stapinsky

STAPINSKY: Stefan (Steve). A resident of Ridgetown, Stefan (Steve) Stapinsky passed away at the Village, Ridgetown on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at the age of 82. Born in Insinger, Saskatchewan, son of the late William and Sophie (Demdruk) Stapinsky. Beloved husband of Hazel (Brooks) Stapinsky for 59 years. Dear father of Dennis Stapinsky and his wife Marie of Toronto, Catherine Chavis of Ridgetown, David Stapinsky and his wife Cathy of Sundridge, and Brenda Sheeler and her husband Bruce of Ridgetown. Grandfather of Alexei, Andrew, Danielle, Nathan, Damon, Noelle, Chris, and Tyson. Great-grandfather of Bryce and Kaitlyn. Brother of Eva Holden of Windsor, Anne Kisil of Windsor, Adele Seriduck of Windsor, Rose and Gary Morneau of Windsor, and the late Mary Kushmy, Dora Bylsma, Helen Tousignant, John, Matt, and George Stapinsky. Steve was a longtime member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge, Ridgetown, the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #243 Ridgetown, and Emmanuel Congregational Church, Ridgetown. He was the former owner/operator for more than 40 years of Stefanson Auto Body. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Friday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Emmanuel Congregational Church, 92 Erie St. N., Ridgetown on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
