Obituary of Edwin Gordon Smith

Smith, Edwin Gordon “Smitty” A resident of Chatham passed away at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Friday, June 29, 2007 at the age of 85 years. "Smitty" was born on March 20, 1922 in Tupperville, Ontario to the late William Earl and Laura Belle (Morris on) Smith.He is survived by his wife Ruby Francis (Elder) and will be missed by his daughter Karen Beth Sinclair (nee Smith) of London; Sandra Dale Cole (nee Garrison) of Brock, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by his son Larry Garrison in 1999.Proud grandfather to Blake Cole, Colleen Suther (nee Cole), Laurel Ross (nee Cole), Mark Cole and Erin Cole of British Columbia. Five great-¬grandchildren also reside in British Columbia. Predeceased by his sister Rena (Mrs. Ken Gonyou) and brother Russell Smith. Survived by nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday July 4, 2007 at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Chatham, Ontario all family and friends are invited to attend. Pastor Andrew Martin officiating.
