Obituary of Michael Manninger

MANNINGER, Michael: A resident of Chatham and formerly of Blenheim, Michael Manninger died with his three angels at his side, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at the age of 81. Born in Zirtz, Hungary, son of the late Michael and Margaret (Boyle) Manninger. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Thorndycraft) Manninger (1999). Loving father of Brenda McMullen of Regina, Saskatchewan and David and Sheila Manninger of Blind River, Ontario. Grandfather of Robert McMullen and Allison and Jessica Manninger. Brother of Marion Dale of London, Frank and Marney Manninger of Chatham, Joseph and June Manninger of Blenheim, Arthur Manninger of St. Thomas and predeceased by George Manninger (2003), Ted Manninger (1995) and Betty Grant (2000). Brother-in-law of Rita Manninger, formerly of Chatham, Mary Manninger of Chatham and the late Mary Ann Manninger, Francis Grant and Byron Dale. Michael will be missed by his three angels; Sally Jenkins, Michelle Jackson and Wilma Timmermans, all of Chatham. He was a former member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #28. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2007 from the Funeral Home with Rev. Heather Scott of Victoria Avenue United Church officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations, made by cheque, to Easter Seals or the Lung Association appreciated.
