Obituary of James Vickery

Vickery, James Glen A resident of Hamilton died on Monday July 16, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton at the age of 65 years. Born in Howard Twsp., Kent County, loved son of Margaret (Peg) Luther-Wooten of Ridgetown, ON and the late Glen A. Vickery. (1962). Beloved husband of the late Gwendoline Phillips (2000). Dear friend of Elizabeth R. McGuire of Hamilton. Father of Rhana, Robin and James and his wife Bethany Vickery all from Mississauga. Grandpa of Julianna Vickery. Brother of Elizabeth Thomson of Chatham, ON and Carol Palmer of Dryden ON. Jim was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario where he was a football star for the Western Mustangs Football Team. He was an employee of Petro Canada in Clarkson and he also served as treasurer for 20 years of the Oil Workers Union. A Graveside Family Service for the interment of the cremated remains will be held at later date at Morpeth Cemetery. With sincere appreciation and gratitude we would like to extend our thanks to the staff of St. Joseph's Hospital with special thanks to Dr. Catherine Clase, Dr. F. Baxter and nurse Joy McCarthy for all their kindness.
