Obituary of Dorothy Smith

SMITH, Dorothy: A resident of Chatham and formerly of Dresden, Dorothy Smith died at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Saturday, July 29, 2007 at the age of 82. Born in Harwich Township, daughter of the late John and Edith (Maxey) Hendricks. Beloved wife of Robert F. Smith for 61 years. Loving mother of Donald Smith (Lucieanne) and Robert J. Smith (Pat), all of Chatham. Grandmother of Robbie, Blair, David, Phillip, Timmy, 4 step-grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Sister of Phyllis Pinder, Verna Letourneau and Bobby Hendricks, all of Chatham and predeceased by Raymond Hendricks, Sylvia Brown, Ruth Wardell and Florence Allard. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A graveside interment of Dorothy's cremated remains will take place at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
