Obituary of Yvonne Verscheure

VERSCHEURE: Yvonne Eliza (Blondeel) A resident of RR #4 Chatham, Yvonne Verscheure died on Thursday, August 23, 2007, at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, at the age of 79. Born, in Winnipeg, to the late Archie and Alida Blondeel. Beloved wife of the late George Verscheure (1981). Loving mother of Linda & Frank Hathaway of Thamesville and their children Tracy, Jamie, Patty, & Kevin; Richard & Kathy Verscheure of Chatham and their children Joe, Sarah, & Jason; Robert & Anne Verscheure of Blenheim and their children Amy, Andrea, & Wendy; Carol & Gary Kerwin of Chatham and their children Stacey, Scott, & Kristy; Roger Verscheure & Julie Lee of Glencoe and his children Lucas, & Casey; Ron & Julie Verscheure of Pain Court and their son Jonathan; Annette & Jamie Bourdeau of Chatham and their children Amanda, & Ryan; and Sandi & Don Lansue of Merlin and their children Jennifer, & Melissa. Yvonne will also be missed by her 10 great grandchildren: Dylan, Kaitlyn, Abigail, Tommy, Andrew, Scotty, Maddy, Carson, Carter, and Denver. She is survived by sister Clara & Robert Vanderiviere of Chatham. Predeceased by sisters Susan De Fraeye and Kathleen Wygergangs. Yvonne is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Chatham, The Kent Belgian Dutch Canadian Club, and a past member of the C.W.L. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Friday, August 24, 2007 from 2:00-4:30 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers at 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Saturday, August 25, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dennis Wilhelm celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Yvonne’s family has asked that memorial donations be made, by cheque, to the Foundation of the Chatham Kent Health Alliance –Palliative Care Unit or the Canadian Cancer Society.
