Obituary of Clara Viola Hoy

HOY: Clara Viola (Ruthven) A resident of Chatham, Clara Hoy died on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, Chatham, at the age of 89. Born in Alliston, Ontario to the late Franklin & Kathleen (Dorrafield) Ruthven. Beloved wife of the Vincent Hoy (1977). Loving mother of Philip Hoy and wife Bonnie of Fletcher, Tom Hoy and wife Ann of Brantford, John Hoy of Chatham, Richard Hoy and wife Henny of Chatham, Robert Hoy of Toronto, the late Douglas Hoy (2003) and wife Anne of Tecumseh and the late Gloria Nicol (1994) and husband Isaac of Thornhill. Clara will be missed by 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Also missed by her dear friend Mary Alice Marchand of Chatham. Predeceased by brothers Edward, Lorne, Albert, Roy, and William Ruthven. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Family will receive friends at the funeral home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Friday, August 31, 2007 from 2:00-4:30 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home.
