McLeod: Nikolas Noah “Nik” It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our son and brother at the London Health Science Center after a long and courageous battle against Leukemia on September 1, 2007, at the age of 25, with his family at his side. A resident of Chatham and cherished son of Norman McLeod and Wilhma Van de Beld husband Bert. Dear brother of Christopher (Carla), and Devon (Cavan) and Brie Van de Beld. Proud uncle of Hannah and Carter, Caleb and Zoe. Loving grandson of Tony and Martina Vander Linden. Nephew to John Vander Linden (Barb) and Linda Elson. Predeceased by his uncle Mel Elson and Aunt Gloria Foster, and grandparents Allen and Jean McLeod. Sincere gratitude to Doctors Chin Yee, Xenocostas, NP Susan Collins, and the special nurses of the 7th floor Oncology unit. Nik was employed by the Waterloo Regional Police Services as a dispatch communicator. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00-4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish prayers to be held at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Church, 180 Wellington St. W. Chatham at 11:00 a.m. Father Dennis Wilhelm celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery.
