Obituary of Joyce King

KING: Joyce B. A resident of the Country Terrace Nursing Home, Komoka and formerly of Ridgetown, Dresden, and Thedford, surrounded by her family, Joyce King passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Sunday, October 7, 2007 in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband C.W. "Curly" King and her furry companion Bailey. Survived by daughter Rhonda King of London. Born in Thedord, daughter of the late George and Ada (Frane) Smith. Sister of Jean and Glenn Thomson of Thedford, Olive Glenn of Thedford and her late husband Norm, Elva MacDonald of Thedford and her late husband Fred, Phyllis Blandford of Dresden and her late husband George, and the late Doris and Jim Waite, Lyle Smith, Hector Smith, David Smith, Harvey Smith, and Irwin Smith. Sister-in-law of Willina Fennell of London and her late husband George, Eva Buckberrough of Ridgetown and her late husband Harold, and the late Alice and Ray McIntyre. Joyce will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Joyce was formerly a member of the I.O.D.E., Ridgetown Curling Club, and Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with a reception to follow.
