Obituary of Edward Howard

HOWARD, Edward; A resident of Merlin, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus on Thursday October 18, 2007 at the age of 67 years. Born in Lancaster England, son of the late Edward and Mary Lilly (Duckworth) Howard. Beloved husband of Donna Jean (Stover) Howard. Dear father of Debra and Ron Evans of Ridgetown, Brenda and Jack Nelson of Merlin and Linda Gresty of Chatham. Grandfather of Mike Evans, Michelle and Rob Homewood, Melissa Evans, Patricia Evans, Mark Evans, Tom Gresty, Jennifer Gresty, Michael Gresty and Dakota Nelson. Great Grandfather of Brandi Evans. Brother of Jean Mountain, Lily Kennedy, Allan Howard, Frank Howard, Joan Winnard, Nancy Connell all of England and the late John Duckworth. He was a barn painter by trade and the retired owner of Edward Howard Airless Paints. He was a member of Merlin Legion Branch #465 and played on their Dart Teams. He also was a member of the Chatham Moose Lodge Branch # 1692. The Howard Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home "Ford Chapel" 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Sunday October 21, 2007 from 2:00-4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Merlin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday October 22, 2007. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, A Moose Lodge service will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Palliative Care Unit appreciated.
