Martin: Marguerite Marion(nee Gilhula) It has pleased the Lord to call unto himself his faithful servant Marion, a resident of Chatham, on November 3, 2007 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 92. Born in Raleigh Township to the late Gordon and Emma (nee Barks) Gilhula. Beloved wife of the late Charles E. Corbett (1950) and the late Seville Martin (2002). Dear mother of Bernice Ingram and her husband Ken of London and the late Phyllis Ripley (1998) and Gordon Corbett (1997). Mother-in-law to Jack and Barbara Ripley of Chatham, Jean (Corbett) and Robert Long of Ridgetown. Proud grandmother to Cheryl and Doug Hicks of New York, Shelley and Al Bulckaert of London, Laurie and Geoff Roeszler of Chatham, Karen and John Trudeau of Chatham, Brian and Christine Ingram of London, Susan and Stephen Baird of Illinois, Wendy and Shane Payette of Texas, Cindy and Paul Birnie of Edmonton, Denice and Larry Antaya of Woodstock, Heather and Mark Pinsonneault of Chatham. Also 28 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by her great-grandaughter Stacey Antaya (2002) Marion was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Chatham and was a volunteer at the former Public General Hospital. She was also a retired employee of International Harvester. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2- 4:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Emmanuel Baptist Church 100 McNaughton Ave. W. at 1 p.m. Rev. Andrew Martin officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Memorial donations to honour Marion’s life may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Emmanuel Baptist Church Mission Fund or Compassion Canada would be appreciated by the family. A special thank-you is extended to Dr. George Walker and all the staff at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus for the tremendous care and compassion given to our mother and grandmother.
