McKellar, Dorothy: A resident of R.R.#3 Chatham, Dorothy McKellar peacefully joined her Lord, in the presence of her family, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Friday, December 14, 2007 at the age of 85. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Gilbert and Edith (Stringer) Duffy. Beloved wife of the late J.T. (Jack) McKellar (1979). Loving mother of Bud and Ginny McKellar of R.R.#3 Chatham, Barrie McKellar of Windsor, Michael McKellar of Chatham, Alan McKellar and Janet Butler of Ridgetown, Scott and Cheryl McKellar of Brantford, Beth and Robert Stewart of R.R.#3 Chatham and Rob and Vera McKellar of Kingsville. Grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Sister of John Duffy of Vancouver, B.C. and the late Gordon Duffy. Survived by her sister-in-law Marion Duffy of Ridgetown and her close friend Jean Atkinson of Thamesville. Dorothy was a member of St. Paul’s United Church and the Centre for Active Living. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, painting, shuffleboard, golfing and playing bridge. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 from the Funeral Home with The Rev.
