Obituary of Robert S. Luther

Luther: Robert S. “Bob”. A resident of Ridgetown, Bob Luther died on Saturday December 29, 2007 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus at the age of 82. Born in Howard Township to the late Martin and Myrtle Luther. Loving husband of 54 years to May (nee Cudney). Dear father to Jeff and Debra Luther and Joan Johnston. Proud grandfather to James Johnston and his fiancée Alyssa Meyers. Dear brother to Jean Collins and her late husband Gilbert, Margaret Wooten and her late husband Homer. Predeceased by his brother Lorne and his late wife Maxine; his sister Fern Campbell and her late husband Ronald as well as two infant siblings Robert Paul and Margaret Elaine. Uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bob was a retired employee of L.H. Gray and Son with over 50 years of service. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4:30 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Thursday January 3, 2008 at Emmanuel Congregational Church, 92 Erie St. N., Ridgetown at 11 a.m. Rev. Barry Dixon officiating. Interment to follow at Duart Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
