BEATON: Alice Priscilla Evelyn. A resident of Ridgetown, Alice Beaton passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the age of 95. Born in Dunwich Township, daughter of the late Ottis and Melvina (Crozier) Magee. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Beaton Jr. (1977). Dear sister of Edna Young of Wallaceburg, and sister-in-law of Barbara Magee of Petrolia. Predeceased by 7 sisters and 6 brothers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Beaton was a life member of Royal Canadian Legion Br. #243 Ridgetown & Ladies Auxiliary. She was a volunteer at Ridge House Museum for many years. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Sunday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Legion Ladies Auxiliary Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, January 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
