Obituary of Howard A. Brown

BROWN: Howard Alan (Bear). A resident of Ridgetown, Howard A. Brown passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus on Friday, January 4, 2008 at the age of 62. Born in Ridgetown, son of the late Howard (1960) and Grace (2001) (Runnels) Brown. Dear father of Howard Brown Jr. and his wife Brenda of R.R.#5 Woodstock, Kevin Brown and his wife Anita of Tillsonburg, and Bonnita Vanderklooster and her husband Paul of Beachville. Grandfather of Dylan, Emma, Jessica, Devin, Michael, Mackenzie, and predeceased by grand-daughter Payten (2006). Brother of Helen and Tom Ferguson of Ingersoll, Karen Brophy of Chatham and her late husband Dick (2002), and the late Harold Brown (2001) and his wife Janice of London. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Howard was very active in the Ridgetown community. He organized numerous fundraising events to help anyone in need. Howard was the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship from the Rotary Club of Ridgetown. He previously worked for the CIBC and Br.#243 Ridgetown Legion. Howard was also a member of the Oxford County Naval Association and Br.#243 Royal Canadian Legion, Ridgetown. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Monday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
