Obituary of Eleanor Wilkins

Wilkins: Eleanor M. “Ellie” (nee Yokom) A resident of Chatham, Ellie Wilkins passed away on Sunday January 6, 2008 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus at the age of 79. Born in Windsor to the late Caroline and Ward Yokom. Predeceased by her husband William “Bill” Wilkins (1992). Dear mother to James and Sharon Wilkins of Grande Point, Bryce Wilkins, Dale Wilkins and Chuck Wilkins all of Chatham. Proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Ellie will also be dearly missed by her four legged friend and faithful companion-George. Predeceased by her brothers-Jim Yokom (1940) and Fred Yokom (1988). Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4:30 and 7-9 p.m. At Ellie’s request a private family interment will take place. Memorial donations to honour Ellie’s life may be made to the Stroke Unit at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
