Obituary of Ed Glogowski

Glogowski: Edward A resident of Chatham, Edward Glogowski, died peacefully with his family at his side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus on Monday, January 14, 2008 at the age of 81. Born in Uschkowitze, Poland, son of the late Kasimir and Maria Glogowski. Beloved husband of 51 years to Olga (nee Swestun). Loving father to Dan Glogowski and his wife Helen, Diane Bechard and Jim, all of Chatham; Patricia Wilson and her husband Ken of Waterloo. Proud grandfather to Adam, Dan Jr., Konnie, Michelle, Amanda, Mitchell and great-grandfather to Grace. Ed will be forever remembered for his love of hunting and fishing, as well as being an avid collector of stamps and sports cards. A sincere thank-you is extended to all the staff at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance especially Dr.’s Verburg and Harnarine for the tremendous care given to all of our family. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday- January 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. Rev. Ross Williams officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Memorial donations to honour Ed’s life may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation and would be appreciated by the family.
