Obituary of Doris Ethel Staddon

Staddon; Doris Ethel a resident of Ridgetown and formerly Tilbury. Aunt Doris Staddon died peacefully Thursday March 6, 2008 at the Village Retirement Residence, Ridgetown at the age of 94. Born in London, Ontario daughter of the late Allen Charles and Ethel Charity (Pettit) White. Beloved wife of the late Alva Rooks (1971) and Arthur Staddon (1991). Step-mother of Jeanne Washeleski, Shelby Township, Michigan. Step-Grandmother of Mark, Scott and Kurt Washeleski. Dear Aunt of Christena & John Jones, R.R. #1, Morpeth; Allen & Doreen White, Grand Bend; Betty & Duncan Jeens, Ridgetown; Jerry & Pat White, North York; Ted & Karen (Hampton) White, Orangeville; Jan White, Angus and Doris Jean & Mike Landry, Chatham. Also survived by many great & great-great nieces and nephews. Aunt Doris was an Honorary Member of the Tilbury Eastern Star and the former bookkeeper of the Tilbury Co-Operative for many years. Friends will be recieved at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St.,E., Ridgetown on Friday March 14, 2008 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Church of The Advent (Anglican), Ridgetown on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Stephen Demitroff officiating. Interment to follow in Tilbury Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Donations made by cheque to the Diabetes Association appreciated.
