Obituary of Jean Robert 'Bob' Schmitt

SCHMITT: Jean Robert “Bob” A resident of Chatham, Bob Schmitt died peacefully, after a brief illness on Friday March 7, 2008 at London Health Sciences Centre-South Street Campus. Born in Mistassini, Quebec, son of the late Joseph & Marie (Ambeault) Schmitt. Loving companion of Ruth Sprik. Dear father of Quentin & Deidre Sprik of Chatham, Fabian Sprik & Luayn of Huntsville, Reuben Sprik of Windsor, and Janelle & Steven Turkington of Chatham. Cherished grandfather of Zayda, Aidyn, and Elyse Sprik. Dear brother of Marcel Schmitt, Louisette & George Andre St. Laurent, and Francine & Regis Pouliot, all of Lac St. Jean, Quebec. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bob retired from Siemens, and was a proud school bus driver for the last 10 years. He was a much loved companion, father, and friend to many. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Wednesday March 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
